These tires have lower tread depths and are manufactured from softer grades of automotive rubber in order to maximize contact with the track or road surface. You get maximum traction during launch, with the compounds molded in to a proprietary design with two separate tread areas for both street and strip. The inboard areas improve traction, while differentiating-pitch outboard area lowers noises. Sidewalls are made stronger for higher stability and durability.
