Product Details

Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnect Kit for 2"-4" Lifted Vehicles by TeraFlex®. Lift your Jeep. Lift it for several good reasons, all of which will make it more capable in off-road situations. Lift it to install larger diameter tires by making more room in the wheel wells. Lift it to improve ground clearance for climbing over stumps and rocks. And lift it for the appearance and the commanding driving position, even on the street.

Driving a lifted Jeep on the street can leave you on your head: soft, off-road springs, tall tires and a raised center of gravity can make your vehicle prone to tippovers That's why almost every vehicle has a sway bar (or two), which stabilizes the vehicle while cornering. But a direct connection between the left and right suspension is exactly what you don't need when off-roading at low speeds. You want each tire to be able to make its own deal with the terrain for traction without being upset by its counterpart.

The common practice is to disconnect the swaybar vertical links, but who wants to do that on your hands and knees, especially if it's hot, cold, muddy or dusty? TeraFlex's swaybar kits have a knob-selectable disconnect for the main swaybar, and you can either have no swaybar rate at all in Trail mode, or delete the trail-rated swaybar entirely. Or, if you have a vehicle that gets towed to the trailhead, simply choose the lightweight trail-rated swaybar witout the disconnect. A small amount of anti-roll is actually a good thing on a steep sidehill traverse.

TeraFlex® has been professionally involved with Jeeps since the 1950s and that experience taught them how to make them perform their best. TeraFlex was started in the fall of 1996 to meet the needs of the growing market for heavy duty off road equipment and suspension enhancements. And they've maintained a dominant hold on the market since then. TeraFlex was the first aftermarket manufacturer with a suspension system for the TJ Wrangler, and is still the only aftermarket company to offer a solution for the venerable 231 transfer cases low range gearing. In 2001, the entire off road industry was stunned at the CRD60 - an off-road-specific high-pinion 60 differential that took innovation to a new level, reinforcing their position in the industry.
