    Ford Spare Tire Mount
    Easy to install and fit the door as stated. I had to drill an extra hole for the lug in order to center the tire on the door. Other than that, it works great.

    Carriage Bolts for a Tire Rack?!
    The tire rack fits the full width back door on my 1994 Dodge 15 passenger Van just fine. However the carriage bolts and nuts are not lockable. Available locking lugs will not thread onto the provided carriage bolts, close, but no fit. The rack should have come with lug compatible bolts. The rack could also have been set up with holes suitable for wheel studs so these could be pressed in. The rack is on my truck but the tire is not. I have to get wheel studs welded in so I can mount and lock the tire.

    Not an Exact Fit
    Ordered for a 2007 E250, fitment was an issue for mounting a 16 inch wheel on it. 2 of the three mount bolts lined up with existing holes, but I didn't mind drilling one hole. However, when mounting spare wheel/tire the slotted bolt holes were not near wide enough and the bolts were way too short. I had to make the slots wider by about a 1/2 inch on both sides and buy 2 ea 1/2 carriage bolts that were 3" long. However, after all of that the carrier seems to be working fine.

    2004 Econoline
    The unseen problem I ran into was that when I opened the door fully the tire broke the tail light. Had to install a guard over the light.

    No Instructions!
    Arrived and unpacked, no instructions at all. Tested on van door, end does not reach edge of door where there were bolts from the original equipment holder was mounted. End bolt holes for this ended on sheet metal. Called Surco, receptionist told me just drill through the sheet metal and put a steel reinforcement behind. Had a neighbor weld on extension so I could use existing bolt holes and used the Surco holes, with steel plate behind, nice and solid.

    More Cargo Space
    We installed the spare tire mount on the back door of our Sprinter camper van. Relocating the tire to the exterior opened up more storage space inside the camper. We are very pleased with the final result and doing business with CARiD went smooth from the order to the delivery.
