    Product Details

Stainless Steel Axle-Back Exhaust System with Split Rear Exit by Stillen®. Exhaust System Type: Axle-Back. Exhaust Tubing Material: Stainless Steel. Exhaust System Sound: Aggressive / Loud. Sometimes the goal for modifying a Nissan Altima L33 isnt always making it so loud that the neighbors complain abd want you to pack up and move permanently to Egypt. But, instead to make the cars performance the best experience possible and that is where Stillen provides the best quality axle-back exhaust system for your 2016-2017 Nissan Altima [L33] 3.5L Sedan. Increase the performance of your vehicle with the Stillen Cat Back Exhaust System. This Stillen Cat Back Exhaust System improves the sound and performance of the vehicle. Stillen pride ourselves in designing an all-new cat back exhaust system that strikes a great balance between the performance minded enthusiast and daily drivability.

For the majority of the time the factory exhaust sound heard is a factory tone, quiet and no noise at all, until stepping on it, hearing mostly the high revolutions of the engine. The factory exhaust is quiet with a lot of restriction in performance compared to what it could potentially gain from an aftermarket exhaust.
With the Slip-fit connectivity this exhaust system is a simple install that can be performed in your driveway at home in a few hours. The exhaust system has polished adjustable tips for all types of applications and fitments for the variety of valance diffusers on the market.
The Stillen Stainless Steel Axle-Back Exhaust System for 2016-2017 Nissan Altima [L33] 2.5 + 3.5 Sedan, looks factory on the outside but has a secret weapon mixed in behind the axle-back system. Opening up the throttle and getting the most out of the engines performance was a goal of the Stillens Axle-Back Exhaust for the L33. At start up the exhaust note sounds quiet like factory with a little gargle at low RPMs and little raspy at high RPMs, but sounds like a turbine airplane on the fly by.
Featured in this picture along with the Stillen Axle-Back Exhaust System is the Stillen Matte Black Rear Bumper Valance Diffuser for 2016 + Nissan Altima L33.

Power is the primary purpose of the Stillen Exhaust System on your car. However, sound is a close second. With an authoritative growl that has become easily recognized at the Stillen trademark sound. This exhaust is mild at low RPM and comes alive when pressed into the higher RPM ranges. The free flowing mufflers keep the sound down when you want to be civilized but let you be heard when you want to let loose.

    Amazing sound upgrade!
I had this installed on my G37 and it completely transformed the sound! At idle it's quiet but once you get on the throttle, it roars! Not too loud to be annoying, just perfect.

    About 15 HP. Easy Install.
I have a 2020 Maxima, 300 hp. Wanted a bit more. Toyed with the idea of getting the cat back exhaust. I did not expect much as the 2 Cats are the limiting factor in this exhaust. Product was of high quality. Welds looked good. I was too lazy to install myself so I had Midas do it for $165. Everything fit perfectly. Sound: At idle and crusing speed it has a low drone. Acceleration adds a crackling sound. Not too loud. Performance: Interesting result. The maxima has a CVT that has *fake* shift points upon maximum acceleration. The engine revs from about 5300RPM to 6100RPM and then goes back down the 5300 RPM for the next "shift". After I installed, I noticed the RPMs of the fake shift were higher. It now starts at about 5600 RPM and goes up to 6300 RPM. I assume the ECM senses less back pressure and is knows the torque band has moved into a higher RPM range and has adjusted accordingly. Enthusiasts HATE this ECM and blame it for sabotaging their performance add ons. In this case it seems to be working in concert with the Stillen exhaust. Observation: The car starts off as usual and then has increased power above 4000RPM. Is it dramatic? No. Is it noticeable? Yes. Did I put it on a dyno? No. A YouTube video shows a middle aged man explaining, installing and dyno testing his Stillen exhaust on a G37 3.2 engine. Similar to the Maxima engine. His dyno test showed 17 HP increase. he also had added a K&N air filter as I did. 15hp increase sound about right. Value: It cost about $1200 and it adds some power. Yes, it was worth it. Guys at Stillen and CarID were helpful.

    Sounds Good, but Defective
So I purchased the exhaust and installed it. It sounds great, but when I installed it, the right exhaust was way off on placement. The left side sat perfectly, but the right side sat way off to the right and lower than it should. I couldn't return it for a replacement because I had installed it already, but I wouldn't have known of the issue until then. So I had to have it modified so the right exhaust can sit in the proper place it needed too. I'm not sure if it's the way the manufacturer made it, or if mine was just defective. If you want to take that chance, go ahead.

    Sounds Good, but Not Loud
Sounds awesome! But only when you're within 2 feet of the rear of the car. It's an amazing deep growl, but the volume of it is very low. For advertising a max loudness I am very disappointed.

    Great Exhaust!
Great exhaust system for a car that has limited options for the G35x model. It was exactly what I was looking for, no drone calm under daily driving, nice tone under spirited driving. They don't provide enough gaskets or bolts to get the job done in one sitting. Include the 2 extra gaskets and 4 bolts to get the job done! Seriously, you could charge for it and it would make customers much happier!

    Fantastic
While having my car serviced at a local Nissan dealer I asked two experienced mechanics what exhaust sound and appearance upgrades they would recommend. Both recommended the Stillen Axle-Back Exhaust System for looks, sound, and ease of installation. I couldn't agree more now that they're on my 2016 Nissan Maxima Platinum. I've received many compliments. I also ordered the Stillen splitter and rear diffuser.

    Awesome Exhaust.
Direct fit. Nice mellow tone at idle. Deep tone during acceleration. No drone.
