Not Your Average Nissan Altima Replacement Sway Bar
Due to poor design, previous gen 2007-2013 Nissan Altima owners found themselves needing to replace their factory sway bar. After a close examination, the Stillen R&D team learned why - the design of the sway bar was not allowing the suspension to twist the sway bar. Instead, the suspension compressed the bar up into the wheel well. This caused the sway bar to bend in the middle rather than twist as it should. The Stillen R&D team made multiple prototypes until arriving at the perfect design. It applies torsional load from the suspension travel to the center of the sway bar in a twisting fashion as it should.
For the 2013-2015 Altima sedan, Nissan improved the factory sway bar design, eliminating the early breakage problem of the previous generation. As with most factory sway bars, however, there was still plenty of room for improving stability and handling. Weve applied Stillen knowledge of the Altima chassis and leveraged significant R & D investment into creating the next gen sway bar for the 2013-2015 Altima sedan.
