The Scion tC was introduced back in 2004, with the first model year being 2005. The vehicle debuted in China and the Middle East as the Toyota Zelas. This vehicle was designed to appeal to a wide number of drivers, as it features a lightweight body and a 2.4 L straight-4 gasoline engine. The chassis on the tC are the same, as Toyota employed on their Avensis, and the vehicle features front struts and double wishbone suspension in the rear. The transmission choices for the first-gen Scion included a 4-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic one.
