The Swedish carmaker Saab manufactured a compact car, the 9-3, between 1998 and 2014 in three generations. Some special versions were manufactured such as the Saab Viggen and the Saab Turbo X. At the 2010 Paris Auto Show the brand introduced the Saab 9-3 ePower as an electric version of the model. This concept was fitted with a powerful lithium-ion battery and was able to reach a top speed of 93 mph. In May 2014 the production of Saab cars ended.
