ROUSH Performance Parts & Accessories for Ford Vehicles

Roush Performance, a part of Roush Enterprises, is a U.S.-based company, primarily involved in the design, development, and production of high performance components for competitive racing and street applications. The company was founded in 1976 by Jack Roush to offer engineering solutions for all types of automotive applications from street to race cars. Today the brand is recognized for race-proven technology and advanced automotive engineering.

Roush Performance is considered to be an automotive "Manufacturer of Record," in the sense that the company modifies Ford Focus, Ford Mustang, and Ford F-150 vehicles to such a degree that they are regarded to be "Roush" vehicles; and several models are even offered with Roush factory warranties. Under the company’s belt is the extensive expertise in OEM powertrain development coupled with one of the most successful Ford-powered racing programs in history of U.S. motorsports.

Roush Performance has long been considered as one of the leaders in aftermarket Ford powertrain development. The company is well known for their range of high-performance Ford powertrain components, among them Roush engines, superchargers, Roush F-150 mods, Mustang parts, and more. Their suspension kits are rated at over 1G on the lateral skid pads and are engineered with thousands of work-hours on the street, track, and design studios. Roush Performance brake packages for street use have also been precisely engineered and tested in several racing series. Their body kits are produced with OE-grade materials, with most being manufactured at the Roush production facility.

The list of Roush racing products includes a complete range of wheels, tires, drivetrain, cooling upgrades, grilles, Roush Raptor and Roush Mustang kits, accessories, and a multitude of others, from a Roush supercharger to a Roush exhaust. The brand’s name has long been the by-word for the highest quality and performance. The company does much more than simply offering components that upgrade performance – they also hold the highest standards of longevity and quality in the industry. To make all of this happen requires a high degree of knowledge of the entire vehicle as a complex system, and that is something that only a few in this industry can deliver.

Looks Great, but Could Be Better
To start, the looks of it absolutely makes your engine bay look 10x sleeker. It is quiet compared to other aftermarket intakes I have installed on other vehicles. Assuming this is not a true "cold air intake" it makes sense. It uses part of your stock air box for installation. Installation was much easier than I thought, and only took about 30 minutes. I paired it with a Roush cat back exhaust and overall performance was minimal. There was a slight improvement in throttle response, but nothing notable enough to justify the price of the parts. It is expensive for what it is. It was for me justifiable to have a higher air flow filter that is reusable and washable than it was for performance. There was no sound improvement from the intake alone.

Looks Great, but Quieter Than Expected
The fitment was not too tricky, but had a few moments of uncertainty. It was just a matter of lining everything up right at once before tightening. The sound is fantastic, it has the deep growl I was looking for, but It is definitely a lot quieter than I imagined for a cat back exhaust. At highway and constant speeds I can hardly hear it. When accelerating, it is there, but not all that impressive. The truck is so quiet stock that I guess it makes sense. The look is phenomenal, I love the dual tips. Overall I would expect this exhaust to be cheaper for what it provides being that Roush pretty much specializes in Ford, but I am still satisfied with the little bit of performance.
