Product Details

Universal RTC Track Set (RTC16) by Rhino-Rack®. 1.6m / 63" tracks for your cap/topper. Sold as a pair, they come with hardware and end caps. These tracks are intended for installation on hard roofs, pickup bed caps and hardshell tonneau covers, where there is access to the underside. They are for Rhino-Rack track mount legs, and enable the legs to slide so the position of the cross bars can be varied according to cargo needs. They come in lengths from 55” to 71” and require drilling for installation. RTC tracks are secured with bolts and knobs.

Installation

When combined with Rhino-Rack track mount rack legs, and Heavy-Duty or Aero cross bars, these tracks create a complete adjustable rack system for mounting on a hard roof, truck bed cap, or hardshell tonneau cover. On a bed cap it can be used in conjunction with a single or a pair of cab mounted cross bars to safely haul long ladders or building supplies. A track mounted rack gives you the versatility to position the cross bars as required to provide the best support for the gear you’re carrying. To move the cross bars, just loosen the rack legs and slide them in the tracks.

These tracks include all necessary hardware and the track end caps. Installation requires drilling. The tracks are attached with bolts inserted from the top and knobs that are tightened on the underside. The RTC Tracks Set comes with detailed and illustrated installation instructions and it’s backed by a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty

Rhino-Rack goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

The benefits given to you by Rhino-Rack under this warranty are in addition to your other rights and remedies under a law in relation to the goods to which the warranty relates.

Subject to the conditions of this warranty, Rhino-Rack warrants the following products manufactured by Rhino-Rack will be free from any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship for the following periods from the date of purchase (each a "Warranty Period"):

Lifetime for roof racks*;
1 year for products made from textile and fabric, locks and electrical components;
3 years for steel (ferrous) products and components;
5 years for all other products.
*Lifetime warranty applies on all Euro, Heavy Duty and Vortex cross bar systems and does not apply to Pioneer and other roof tray products.

Remedies

If a defect appears during the time periods referred to above, Rhino-Rack will, within a reasonable time of being notified of the warranty claim, repair or replace, at Rhino-Rack's option any defective product or defective component without charge for parts or labor.

Conditions and Exclusions

This warranty does not apply to:

any person other than the original retail customer or recipient of the product (in the case of acquisition as a gift or promotion) and it is not transferable.
any defect in materials or workmanship, if: the purchaser examined the product before having agreed to purchase the product and that examination ought reasonably to have revealed the defect; or the defect was specifically drawn to the purchaser's attention before the purchaser agreed to purchase the product;
failures caused by inadequate maintenance or non-compliance to fitting instructions supplied by Rhino-Rack. It is your responsibility to maintain the product adequately. Rhino-Rack recommends that this product be removed from your vehicle for regular cleaning and when not in use for extended periods. Any components subject to normal wear, degradation or consumption through use or exposure to the elements must be inspected periodically and replaced with Rhino-Rack parts as required;
any defects, loss or damage caused by a product being fitted to a non-compatible vehicle, for example, because of the vehicle's shape or build;
any defects, loss or damage caused by conditions beyond Rhino-Rack's control including, but not limited to any cost, loss, misuse, neglect, accidents, attachment of accessories not originating from Rhino-Rack, act of God, overloading beyond recommended capacity or other improper treatment of the product, including incorrect assembly or fitment by the purchaser, retailer or any other third party;
any defects or damage caused by modifications to the vehicle or the product or the user's failure to properly secure cargo as recommended by Rhino-Rack;
any consequential or incidental damage, including but not limited to damage to your vehicle, cargo or to any other person or property.

One Screw Faulty

When trying to put it together I realized there was one screw that had messed up threads resulting in not being able to use it. As this was purchased in the off-season, it took quite a while before I noticed it. My bad for waiting so long to contact the company. It still is frustrating when you pay for something and one little screw sets you back. Otherwise, it seems like it would have been perfect.

Great Rack, but Wind Whistle

This one is great, and holds my kayak nicely. I already had the headliner out so installation was straightforward, but I wouldn't call it simple. Bolts were plenty long and had to be cut off to get the headliner back in. I like the way the rails attach to the track -- very easy but still sturdy. And when I take the rack off and put the caps over the mounting pedestals, you hardly notice there's anything there. Only problem is that it whistles badly -- possibly due to the ramp shape of the roof just in front of the forward rail of the rack. I covered the end caps on the rails, and that was not the problem. I'll cover the bottom track of that forward rail to solve it.

Great Product

I would give this 5 stars, but the only problem I had was that the bars made a howling noise at certain speeds. There are ways to mitigate and it's more of an inconvenience than an issue.

Doing Good.

Very trustworthy, even with a kayak strpped to it. Only complaint is when it has nothing on tge rails, there's a light whistle.

Doing Good

Got it a bit ago because it came in right on time, but didn't put it on my car until recently. Didn't take long at all to put up and strapped a kayak to it that night. Was able to drive around with it up there with no worries. Only complaint is that when nothings strapped to the rails, there is a light whistle you hear when driving around but oh well I'm just happy to have rails that are trustworthy.

Awesome

I originally ordered an Amazon special trying to save money and be cheap, turned out to be junk, ordered this roof rack a few weeks ago, finally installed in on my 2013 Chevy Cruze, really solid, doesn't move at all. I really like it, installation was fairly easy, highly recommend if you want something solid.
