A regular connecting point between you and your vehicle, the shift knob plays an important role in providing smooth and responsive shifting. Located on the top of the gear shifter, it usually comes with a shifter pattern which guides the gear selection. Since your shift knob is one of the parts in your vehicle you constantly use, its surface can eventually become worn out. Sometimes, your shift knob can break when roughly handled. Replacing your outdated or damaged shift knob is the way to go to ensure optimal shifting response, as well as restore your vehicle’s interior.
If you’re looking to replace your old or broken shift knob, CARiD is the right place to visit. In our online store, we have you covered with a comprehensive selection of top-grade replacement shift knobs that are made using the finest materials and the latest equipment to deliver exceptional durability and perform reliably year in and year out. To ensure you get shift knobs of the best possible quality, we cooperate with such renowned brands as MTC, URO Parts, Goodmark, as well as many other trusted companies that specialize in aftermarket replacement products.
Shift knobs we supply are designed for your specific vehicle to provide a direct fit and easy installation. Methods of replacing your shift knob may vary depending on your make, model and year, but generally mounting a new shift knob is a simple task that won’t take much time. Shift knobs are usually installed using one of two possible ways. Some of them are screwed onto threads on the gear shift lever, while others are secured to the shift lever with a screw located at the base of the shift knob. In the first case, you should remove the existing shift knob from the shift lever by threading it counterclockwise and then install a new one by turning it clockwise. In the second case, you should take off the screw to remove the existing knob and then slide a new knob onto the shift lever and tighten the screw.
