The Renault Stepway started life in 2008 as a crossover spin-off of the Sandero subcompact hatchback. In Europe, it is marketed under the Dacia brand which is owned by Renault. What sets the crossover version apart from the regular Sandero is higher ground clearance, more standard equipment, and exterior accessories that give it a more rugged, SUV-like look. The Stepway is far from being off-road ready and does not even offer four-wheel drive, but it rather positions itself as an affordable vehicle for city dwellers with an active, outdoorsy lifestyle. If you're looking for Renault Stepway accessories that will make your small crossover more adventure-ready or more suitable for your daily driving needs, or you seek high-quality yet reasonably-priced replacement parts for repairs and maintenance, our store has got you covered.
The first-generation Stepway was based on the B0 platform shared with the Logan and offered a choice of a 1.5-liter diesel or a 1.6-liter gasoline I4 engine good for 70 hp and 90 hp, respectively. Renault gave it a total redesign already in 2012. The second-gen Stepway got new engines and more interior and exterior design cues borrowed from the Logan. The base engine is now a 1.2-liter 75-hp four-cylinder, and a 0.9-liter TCe (Turbo Control efficiency) I3 is the second unit that joined the lineup.
Renault's small crossover comes in two trim levels, the base Ambiance and the higher-spec Laureate. In its entry-level form, the Stepway offers Bluetooth connectivity, a USB port, A/C, and fog lights. Stepping up to the Laureate brings heated and power-adjustable side view mirrors and 7-inch infotainment with navigation. Among the vehicle's safety and driver assist features, there are cruise control, parking sensors, emergency braking, and others. The cabin design of the Stepway is quite simple and unobtrusive, and if you're looking to spruce it up a bit, we have the right Renault Stepway parts and accessories for any kind of personalization.
For 2020, the entire Sandero and Logan lineup enters its third generation, with no exception for the Stepway crossover that became a standalone model. Changes include the new CMF-B platform, redesigned front and rear bumpers, higher-quality interior parts and materials, and an expanded equipment list. Up front, there are new C-shaped headlights with LED daytime running lights. Out back, the crossover sports revised horizontally-stretched tail lights with LED elements. Safety-wise, a rearview camera is a new feature, while models that come with a CVT have an electronic stability control system and Hill Start Assist. The electrified version of the Stepway joins the family with a 1.6-liter engine and a mild hybrid system making around 140 hp in total.
