Released in 2013, the Renault Captur is currently in its second generation and enjoys a healthy share of its segment. In its first year of production, the vehicle was offered in two versions built on different platforms (B and BO) and sold in many countries. As far as styling goes, both models were virtually identical. However, the Captur sitting on the BO platform was longer and wider. Besides, it had greater ground clearance and was blessed with all-wheel drive. This version hit the Southern American market in 2017 as the model for the next year and instantly became one of the best-selling SUVs. Although it is a decent vehicle by default, there is always room for improvement. While some drivers want to get more horsepower, others are more interested in a custom look. To meet the needs of all of them, we have gathered an extensive selection of Renault Captur accessories and parts on our digital shelves.
Reliable driving performance, a comfortable interior, and stylish appearance are the main reasons for Captur’s strong popularity in many countries. What’s more, it is available in a number of configurations depending on the market. As an example, in its first generation, the Mexican-spec model was offered in two trims – namely, the Intens and Ionic. Both are powered by a 2.0-liter engine generating 140 horsepower. When it comes to the way of transmitting power to the wheels, the Ionic was offered exclusively with a four-speed automatic, while the Intens could also be purchased with a six-speed manual transmission. Aside from that, two models differed in their safety features and creature comforts.
For 2020, the automaker released the limited version under the guise of the Bose. It is based on the Iconic and shares its powertrain but has more equipment. To wit, it comes with electronic stability, LED driving lights, automatic climate control, four airbags, etc. What’s more, it is blessed with a specially-developed audio system with six speakers and a subwoofer. The same year, Renault introduced the second-generation Captur to European customers. It got new engine options along with a bunch of specially-designed parts and accessories inside and out. The newbie also got a new platform. It can be powered by either of two gasoline units, each fed by a turbocharger: a 1.0-liter motor capable of producing 100 horsepower and a 1.3-liter engine generating either 130 or 155 horsepower depending on the model. There are also two versions of a 1.5-liter diesel engine to choose from. The Mexican version soldiers on with the above-mentioned 2.0-liter but got a styling refresh. Those owners who want their vehicle to look more unique can upgrade it with aftermarket Renault Captur parts and accessories.
