Works Well as Aftermarket Replacement in Nissan Quest
I drive a minivan leased from a transit agency for a commuter vanpool. The windshield was replaced with a non-Nissan windshield that did not come with a mirror attached. The stock Nissan mirror is a "one-and-done" part - it cannot be removed from a windshield without seriously damaging the mounting bracket, and attempts to install the mirror from the original windshield failed (miserably) - the mirror would come off the windshield any time it was adjusted. Although not specifically listed for this application, I determined that the CIPA mirror would likely work without any modification to the windshield. I installed the mirror a couple of weeks ago, and I no longer have any issues with the mirror coming off the windshield. The spring tension in the mirror arm is a little tight, which is my only issue with the mirror. Since I am not the only driver of the van, re-adjustment of the mirror is a regular occurrence, and it's a little tricky to get this mirror set just right. That might improve after a while.
