CYC Engineering, Inc. guarantees the original purchaser of the Raptor Series branded products a limited manufacturer warranty. The terms and conditions will vary on the item purchased. Please read all terms and conditions along with proper care and maintenance. Proof of purchase will be required in order to approve any warranty claim. The warranty begins from the date of original purchase and covers against manufacturer defects.
This includes but is not limited to, defects in materials, workmanship, finish, failure of product, and function under normal use. Manufacturer warranties do not include damage resulting from road hazards such as gravel or other debris, product misuse, improper installation, impairments from accidents, product modifications, fire or natural disasters, atcs of god, product neglect or scratches during the life of the product, or usage in excess of recommended capacities. Failure to properly maintain or follow the product instructions will void warranty. This limited manufacturer warranty applies only to new products and is at its discretion to the repair or replacement of company products. Warranty does not include replacement of electrical components or light bulbs.

Therefore, shock oil seals are not covered under warranty. However, leaking shock seals on products purchased less than one year, free from contamination, damage, or abnormal seal wear due to misuse can be considered for warranty.
Proper Care and Maintenance
Stainless Steel Products - As with any outdoor product, proper care is essential for maintaining the high luster and corrosion properties of stainless steel. The stainless steel they use at CYC Engineering, Inc. is from a 300 series marine grade. This is one of the most durable metals produced for outdoor use. Nature, however, can and will fade or tarnish the appearance of any polished finish if uncared for. In rare cases, the appearance of rust can form on the polished finish. This is known as “surface rust” and is simply elements found in nature that oxidizes on the finish. Raptor Series recommends regular cleaning with warm soapy water. Avoid abrasive chemicals or fabrics that can break down or scratch the composition of stainless steel. The use of non abrasive car wax (pure carnauba based) applied approximately every three months will normally provide a slick, protective barrier that will not allow the oxidizing elements to rest upon the products. Raptor Series strongly recommends these preventative measures to allow you to enjoy the products for years.
Black Coated Finish Products - As with any outdoor product, proper care is essential for maintaining the integrity of black coated steel products. All black coated products should be cleaned regularly with a soft rag or microfiber cloth with mild soap and warm water. Avoid abrasive chemicals or fabrics that can break down or scratch the composition of the finish. Never use chemical cleaners like window sprays, bleach, and petroleum based products. These chemicals will remove dirt and blemishes but can also start to strip layers of the coating. Certain weather conditions can have a negative effect on the coating over time, Raptor Series recommends occasionally using non abrasive car wax (pure carnauba based) applied approximately every three months.
Brushed Aluminum/Black Aluminum Finish Products - One of the biggest benefits to aluminum is that it provides an extremely long life span as it is designed not to fade and will not rust. However, proper care is still essential for maintaining the integrity of aluminum finish products. All aluminum products should be cleaned regularly with a soft rag or microfiber cloth with mild soap and warm water. Make sure your product is completely dry after washing to avoid water spots. Avoid abrasive chemicals or fabrics that can react with the aluminum. Never use chemical cleaners like window sprays, bleach, and petroleum based products.
Outdoor Camping/Fabric Products - With outdoor camping products, it is important to take preventative measures to minimize the effects that weather will have on the material. Raptor Series' number one care and maintenance tip is to clean off your products and to make sure they are 100% dry before storing. Periodic cleaning will preserve the life of the material throughout harsh weather conditions however not allowing the material to dry before storage can cause mold and/or mildew. Being gentle with all components such as zippers, rain flys, poles, etc is crucial as these are common wear and tear parts that when not handled with care can weaken the overall strength. Never exceed the recommended weight capacity and only use products for their intended purpose. Upon use and storage do a routine check to make sure all objects that can puncture the material are not within range. Always store products in their provided storage bags to prevent damage.
RSO Suspension Products - Taking proper care of your suspension system and its vital components will help ensure the best possible handling performance for your vehicle. It will also extend the lifespan of your suspension and other affected equipment.
Shock Absorbers: Excessive dirt build up can cause extra wear and tear on the shock seal heads and shaft if not cleaned regularly. Also inspect upper and lower mounting points on the shock. Any grease or oil will attract more debris so be sure to clean and inspect for any leaks.
