Racing Fuel Injectors, Fuel Rails & Components

Fuel injectors are integral components of your fuel injection system that are responsible for supplying fuel to the engine. All fuel injectors perform the same function but differ in design depending on the type of fuel injection system they are intended for. Mechanical fuel injection systems feature injectors that stay closed with the help of a spring and are opened by fuel pressure. When it comes to electronic systems, the injectors are held closed in the same way but are opened with the help of an electromagnet. The fuel can be sprayed either directly or indirectly. Vehicles running on gasoline have an indirect fuel injection system where injectors deliver fuel to the intake manifold or intake port, so it can mix with the air before entering the chamber. In diesel engines, with a direct fuel injection system, the injectors are designed to spray fuel directly into the chamber.

Earlier cars were equipped with a single-point injection system with a single fuel injector providing fuel to the entire engine. But now, more and more cars have a multi-port injection system which consists of several fuel injectors, each spraying fuel to one specific cylinder. This results in greater efficiency and horsepower. Most vehicles of today come with injectors engineered to ensure that just the right amount of fuel enters the cylinder. However, if you install an engine with a turbocharger or supercharger, your stock fuel injectors won’t improve your car’s performance. On the contrary, they will decrease it. And here’s the reason why. Your turbocharged/supercharged engine allows more air to enter the chamber, which means more fuel is required to balance the air-fuel mixture. But your stock fuel injectors won’t be able provide enough fuel to the engine.

If you’re looking to make the most out of your race car, muscle car, street rod or anything in between, upgrade your fuel injectors. On our virtual shelves, you’ll find a variety of racing fuel injectors that are specifically designed to handle the demands of modified engines. They are capable of delivering more fuel to the cylinders, which results in increased combustion efficiency. Custom-made for your specific vehicle and meticulously tested for leaks, fuel pressure and atomization, these fuel injectors provide a perfect fit and exceptional performance under the most demanding conditions. But before buying new fuel injectors, make sure they match your specific engine. Since fuel injectors that deliver too much fuel are no better than those delivering too little, you have to know exactly the amount of NOS you should add to your vehicle. When upgrading fuel injectors, you may also need to upgrade your fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator to increase fuel flow and fuel economy.
