Alternator Cap Spacer by QRP®. This spacer fits over the "hot" lead on the back of the alternator protecting the wires from coming into direct contact with the alternator housing. All factory alternators were originally equipped with this for prevention of electrical shorting. The spacer is also equipped with the correct ridge for vehicles that originally used the plastic snap cap to cover the electrical connection.
