Product Details

SCORPION ATR Tires (4132200) by PIRELLI TIRES®. 265/70R18, Speed Index T - 118 mph, Max Load 2756 lbs, Tire Weight 37.76 lbs. Season: All Season. Type: All Terrain / Off Road / Mud, Truck / SUV. The Scorpion ATR is Pirelli's On-/Off-Road All-Terrain light truck tire developed for pickup, crossover and sport utility vehicle drivers that want to combine on-road civility with off-road capability. The Scorpion ATR is designed to master long highway journeys, wet roads and the challenges of winter driving by combining paved road comfort and handling with rough terrain grip and maneuverability.

Off road, the Scorpion ATR is tenacious and dependable. On road, it provides luxury, exceptional traction and resistance to tread wear. It facilitates the most challenging off-road driving and resists the hardest shocks on uneven surfaces. Once back on the road, it provides safety when braking and during cornering. The Scorpion ATR delivers a high opposition to aquaplaning and low rolling noise, which enhances the acoustic comfort in the cabin, while still providing excellent traction in all road conditions.

The Scorpion ATR features a silica-enhanced tread compound molded into a quiet-running, symmetric all-terrain type tread pattern. A virtual continuous center rib and large, stable shoulder tread blocks provide directional stability and steering response, while interlocked independent tread blocks in the center tread area further promote acoustic comfort. Sweeping central circumferential grooves and lateral shoulder grooves channel water to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The independent tread blocks are siped to provide extra biting edges that enhance off-road traction on loose surfaces and in snow. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced with spirally wrapped nylon cord to support the tread area, providing predictable handling and high-speed control, while polyester cords stabilize the sidewalls and enhance ride quality.

Undeniable
I could immediately tell a huge difference when I swapped to these from my all seasons. The grip seems impossibly good. Just to test it, I put the car in front wheel drive and slowly creeped up snow covered hills without either touching the gas or spinning a tire. It blew my mind that my traction never broke in five inches of snow on a rather steep grade. Meanwhile, at regular road speeds I feel completely comfortable and relaxed when driving in all conditions i've faced thus far. We've been getting hit hard with snow and ice lately in my part of PA and I hit the roads with complete confidence. I actually look forward to it! Now that I've made the leap to Pirelli, and having experienced the eye opening difference from other tires I've had first hand, I won't buy another brand again. These are the answer.

They are a good tire in the rain
3000 miles on my FX4 with the 20" stockers, and I would say they are a good tire in the rain. We have had plenty here, in San Antonio, this year and I have not felt the truck lose the rear end bad once.

They are still in great condition
I've had these tires since 2010 and they are still in great condition. They have worn well and have got me through some pretty sticky situations in Vegas. I never had a real problem with them until I moved to Wyoming this past winter and tried them out on some trail with 6+" of snow. Got stuck a few times but never needed help out.

Happy Camper
Finally got my new tires on my car. Had the chance to go out of town. The ride was so smooth.. Luttle vibration but I need to get aligned but over all I love my tires.

Much Better Than Stock Bridgestones
Should have switched to these at my 1st tire change. Quieter and 'stickier' - have noticeably more confident cornering - and I do a LOT of it on my weekly drives up and down the mountains of Big Bear. No experience with these in rain or snow yet (I switch to winter tires in Dec). 2011 Nissan Murano AWD

Confidence Inspiring SUV Tires that Allow the Lexus RX350 to Handle!
Soft quiet ride for day to day, with sharp handling when traveling in the twistys!!! Putting the best possible tires on my wife's daily driver is important! I want her safe and I want her to feel confident her rig can handle strong steering inputs and straighten those curves!!! We experienced some rainy days on a couple occasions here in California and the Lexus gripped impressively (an Alfa Romeo is my daily driver and so the standard is HIGH!!!)
