In the last few years, the car world has been directing its attention and investments towards a tyre capable of ensuring performance and safety even in the event of a "flat".

The basic benefit is continued mobility in case of a loss of air pressure.

In order to achieve a level of total mobility, Pirelli has developed two different technologies: the SEAL INSIDE, a Self Sealing technology which contains an extra lining within the tyre that self-seals, and the RUN FLAT, a Self Supporting Technology with a rigid sidewall within the tyre.

      PEACE OF MIND

      The Seal Inside technology does not need dedicated rims and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) to be used safely on a vehicle; it can be used on any kind of vehicle depending on the tyre size

      TECHNOLOGY. Pirelli’s Self-Sealing tyres are made up of a material that forms a sealing layer, which is placed inside the tyre in the area corresponding to the tread pattern. The material tightly blocks every possible air leakage in the event of a puncture that passes through the tyre, with or without an external object still present

      APPLICATION. The Seal Inside Technology does not need dedicated rims and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) to be used safely on a vehicle; it can be used on any kind of vehicle depending on the tyre size

      MATERIAL. The Seal Inside tyre deals immediately with the hole and, in most cases, its fast and effective action means that the driver won’t even realize that the tyre has been punctured

      HOW SEAL INSIDE TYRES WORK

      Phase 1. The sealing mastic sticks to the object causing the puncture, creating a seal around the object if it remains in the tyre.

      Phase 2. When the object is removed from the tyre, the sealing mastic is "drawn" by the object into the hole, sealing the edges of the hole.

      COMFORTABLE DRIVING

      The PIRELLI NOISE CANCELLING SYSTEM™ (PNCS) is the best solution for reducing the noise generated by the tyres on the road. The vibrations that are generated in the tyre structure and inside the car are called CAVITY NOISE: Pirelli Noise Cancelling System can resolve this phenomenon, offering significantly improved driving comfort.

      FEATURES. Pirelli’s sound absorbing sponge reduces the frequency filtering through the car, providing superior comfort compared to traditional tyres

      BENEFITS. The Pirelli Noise Cancelling System reduces noise by between two or three decibels, which on average reduces the perceived noise by half, with a consequent improvement in driving comfort

      MATERIAL. Foam material inside the tyre cavity absorbs the resonant air wave

      TECHNOLOGY. Open cell foams are commonly used to maximize the interactive surface: the sound wave is scattered inside and between cells, leading to noise reduction

      HOW PNCS TYRES WORK

      Phase 1. Tyre cavity noise is caused by resonance of air contained inside the tyre cavity during rotation, which is then transmitted to the inside of the car

      Phase 2. Pirelli's innovative polyurethane sponge absorbs these vibrations and reduces noise
