Thread sealants are designed to seal and secure metal pipes and fittings. They fill the space between threaded metal parts and cure to a pliable seal that eliminates leakage caused by vibration loosening, solvent evaporation, damaged threads, tape shredding, and temperature cycling. Permatex carries a line of premium thread sealants available for low and high pressure applications that seal instantly for on-line low pressure testing. After the sealant is fully cured, it seals to the burst strength of most piping systems.
