Nikola’s first pickup is claimed to have an 8,000-pound tow rating and overcome steep grades without stalling. With a 15-kilowatt power source on board, the Badger allows for keeping the tools and equipment charged. The Badger is built by Nikola in partnership with another manufacturer, using its parts and production capabilities. Although fuel cell powertrains are not in great demand these days, the company is planning on building as many as 700 hydrogen refueling stations throughout the United States and Canada.
