The Mini Paceman is a two-door version of the Mini Countryman, the 4-door compact crossover. Though two crossovers are virtually identical, the Pacemen features unique styling that makes it different from other Mini Coopers. The concept of the vehicle was first introduced at the North American Auto Show in Detroit in 2011. Production of the concept, however, finished later the same year, with the production model unveiled in late 2012. Like the Countryman, the Paceman is available in two- or four-wheel drive (also known as ALL4), and comes with a choice of 1.6 L 16-valve engines. The Paceman is introduced in 4 trim levels: Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper S ALL4, and the exclusive John Cooper Works.
After going on market for 2013, the Paceman got insignificant upgrades for the new model year. A choice of great turbocharged engines, excellent fuel economy, optional all-wheel drive, cool style – it's all about the Paceman. The Mini Paceman got a standard 6-speed manual transmission and an optional 6-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is outstanding: 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg highway, with a manual transmission, though these figures are different for the Paceman with an automatic transmission.
The Paceman comes in four trim levels: Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper S ALL4, and the exclusive John Cooper Works. The base-level Cooper is standard with air conditioning, 17-inch alloy wheels, premium vinyl upholstery, cruise control, Bluetooth and a USB port. The base-level Cooper is available only in FWD. With the mid-level Cooper S and Cooper S ALL4, you get an optional turbocharged engine and optional AWD; sport seats and fog lights are also standard. The sporty John Cooper Works comes with all-wheel drive only. Mini also offers a host of options, from paint colors and interior combinations to a panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, leather upholstery, satellite radio, navigation system, and more.
For some people, the biggest difference of the Paceman over the Mini Cooper is its raised ride height, which gives better view and off-road ability. The Paceman is equipped with standard stability control, seven airbags, and anti-lock disc brakes. The Paceman is known for its unique exterior design, sophisticated interior and a huge variety of exclusive parts and accessories giving an extra edge to your vehicle. We provide everything from quality replacement parts to performance upgrades to help you make your Paceman stand out from the rest.
