The Mercury Marauder is a nameplate used for different full-size cars, which were produced by the automaker in several periods between 1963 and 2004. At the beginning, its was a two- or four-door hardtop offered as a special version of some other vehicles by Mercury – the Montclair, Park Lane, Monterey, and S-55. After some interruption, the second-gen Marauder was marketed in 1969 and 1970, but then this nameplate was dropped for long 30 years. In 2002, Mercury revived this model – the concept version of this car was introduced at the 2002 Chicago Auto Show as a 2-door convertible. However, the production version featured other body – it was a powerful 4-door sedan produced till 2004.
