The car was a luxury two-seater grand tourer designed in two-door coupe and two-door convertible (soft top) body styles. The car was equipped with a 6.2L V8. Its initial output rate equaled 263 hp and finally grew up to 622 hp. A seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission was attached to this gasoline engine. In 2013, Mercedes created the SLS AMG Electric Drive powered by four synchronous electric motors together with 400V 60 kWh lithium-ion battery. The transmission given to this car was a single-speed automatic.
