Mercedes-Benz keeps electrifying its lineup to achieve its target of going all electric. To wit, the recently launched EQS was quickly followed by the Mercedes EQE, an electrified alternative to the gasoline-powered E-Class. The automaker introduced its entry-level model at the auto show in Munich. On the outside, it looks similar to the EQS but is smaller. However, that’s not to say that both models look identical. Although the EQE is based on the same EVA2 platform, its exterior design is more aggressive. To wit, the model got stronger shoulders and a uniquely designed front end. Those owners who want to make their car look even more special and unique can go with Mercedes EQE accessories and parts from the aftermarket. Custom license plates and frames, chrome trim pieces, and many other products are available in a host of designs and styles to choose from.
The things get even more interesting under the car’s slippery bodywork. The EQE line is said to include two models. One of them is equipped with a single motor attached to the rear axle and called the EQE350. This variant offers 288 horsepower that is more than enough for daily driving around the city and highway trips. The automaker says that it is capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. The top speed is pegged at 130 mph. If that’s not enough for you, you can opt for the all-wheel-drive version. It has two electric motors (one per axle) with a total output of 400 horsepower. This model is also a better choice for those drivers who live in places which experience changing weather conditions.
The EQE350 is equipped with a 90.6-kWh battery pack that is capable of providing a driving range of more than 300 miles. Both models feature a four-link front and multi-link rear suspension. An air suspension is available as an option. All parts and accessories under the body of the EQE operate in perfect harmony to deliver a comfortable and smooth ride. The interior of a car boasts a futuristic design. A Hyperscreen is offered as an option. It stretches over the dashboard turning it into a glass panel which includes digital displays. The cabin is pretty spacious and full of rich materials. Every model comes with a panoramic sunroof. Besides, there is customizable ambient interior lighting. Fortunately, the EQE is well supposed by the aftermarket. So just like with any other vehicle, owners can further personalize their car. Mercedes EQE parts and accessories from the aftermarket are available in numerous types, designs, and styles to meet the varying needs and wants of drivers.
