The McLaren Artura introduces lots of the automaker’s firsts including a new powertrain and architecture. Aside from that, the newbie features smoothed contours and has neither active aerodynamics nor movable surfaces. The Artura is 0.2 inches longer than the renowned 720S but looks shorter thanks to its sculpted shape. It has striking eye-socket headlights, side vents that have a more organic shape than those seen on the 570S, and a laser-cut rear mesh grille which accommodates ultra-narrow tail lights and twin exhaust tailpipes. The car does look attractive and is undeniably fast enough straight from the factory. However, even such a car can be further upgraded to give you an even better driving experience. To wit, swapping your stock tires for custom racing ones and installing aftermarket exhaust parts can improve acceleration time and make your car sound like nothing else on the road. To choose the right products for you, feel free to browse through our selection of McLaren Artura accessories and parts.
On the mechanical side of things, the car gets power from an all-new V6 engine that has a smaller size than the 3.8-liter V8 found under the hood of the Sports Series. That allowed for offsetting the added weight of electrical components (287 pounds). The curb weight is estimated to be 3,303 pounds. To reach the goal, the block and heads of a mill were made for lightweight aluminum. Besides, it has a 120-degree bank angle which leaves room for a pair of turbochargers. The engine has a displacement of 3.0 liters and is capable of pushing out 577 horsepower. It is combined with an electric motor for the total system output of 671 HP. The above-mentioned motor is juiced by a 7.4-kWh lithium-ion battery.
The latest supercar from McLaren also got a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic. With such a powertrain, the car can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 205 mph which is enough to deliver plenty of thrills. What’s more, the car got an all-new electrical architecture which allowed the adoption of road-sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, and other modern-day must-haves that have not previously been available in McLaren vehicles. Inside, you won’t find lots of accessories. The cabin has a minimalistic design. Those owners who want to change that can go aftermarket. If you are among them, you are in the right place, as we have gathered the widest selection of McLaren Artura parts and accessories on our digital shelves.
