Product Details
409 SS H-Pipe for Stock Cats by MBRP®. Adding an H-pipe to a dual exhaust system will give you a throatier rumble at idle, less rasp at wide-open-throttle, and reduce drone at speed. Bonus: more low-end torque without subtracting any of the top end.
Installation
True dual exhausts are the idealized system for the performance driver. Nothing sounds like a V8 motor with dual exhausts, and that stereophonic burble in your ears when you stand behind one at idle. But from a performance standpoint, it can be improved on. An H-pipe, one that allows some exhaust gases to spill from one side to the other, can add some bottom end scavenging without reducing power at nearer the redline; it’s a win-win deal. The sound at low speeds will be slightly lower and rumblier, while missing some mid-range rasp and drone. This 3” H-pipe attaches to the stock catalytic converters
Performance is one thing but at MBRP they believe that appearance and sound are just as important. Every MBRP performance exhaust system has been specifically tuned to get the optimal sound from your ride. Civilized when you need it to be and seriously aggressive when you want it, it is all classic muscle car.
