Introduced for 2023, the Mazda CX-70 is set to enrich the automaker’s SUV portfolio with a model that offers a more premium flair. It is a mid-size 5-seat SUV that slots between the CX-50 compact crossover and the CX-9 3-row SUV. The CX-70 shares its platform with another newcomer – the larger CX-90, which adds the third row of seating. Both vehicles feature a widebody design and adopt Mazda’s new six-cylinder engine and a longitudinal architecture. Want to personalize your SUV and keep it well-maintained? We are here to serve all of your Mazda CX-70 accessories and parts needs.
While mainstream SUVs are built on front-drive platforms and have transversely-mounted engines, the CX-70 ups the ante with its longitudinal layout that enables a rear-drive design, quite a promising move taking into account Mazda’s bent toward driving enjoyment. With this new architecture, the automaker attempts to target the likes of sporty German crossovers. However, as with other Mazda SUVs, all-wheel drive is standard. Powering the CX-70 is either an I6 with at least 300 hp or a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 2.5-liter I4.
Mazda models are known for offering upscale interior designs and tech features that are on par with more expensive vehicles. The CX-70 is no exception, with its fine materials, elegant styling, and generous equipment. A blind-spot monitor, lane departure warning, and automatic braking when danger is detected are among the standard features. Add in a handsome exterior design and it’s easy to see why this new SUV is expected to have a strong fan base. And of course, the aftermarket won’t stand aside, offering Mazda CX-70 parts and accessories for customization, repair, and servicing at way more affordable prices than the dealer.
