For 2010, the Mazda CX-7 was given its first substantial refresh, as both the front/rear fascias were revised (including a more noticeable front-end grille), trim levels were overhauled, and powertrains were upgraded. Trim levels were now dubbed the iSV, iSport, s Touring, and s Grand Touring. The base engine was changed to a 161-hp inline four-cylinder (paired to a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift control). At the top of the lineup was a turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder rated at 244 horsepower and 258 pounds-per-foot of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
