If you drive a truck or SUV in all kinds of weather, you need running boards to give you a helpful step entering and exiting your rig, especially if it’s lifted. But you also need boards that are durable, and able to perform under the most difficult, rugged conditions. These TrailRunner running boards have a wide ribbed step for sure footing, and custom designed, heavy-duty construction for perfect fit and performance.

A good set of running boards has to perform during the worst conditions, because it’s during snow and rain, with wet and muddy boots, that you especially need that reliable footing for a safe step in and out of your truck or SUV. Lund TrailRunner Running Boards are built to deliver under the most rugged conditions. The lightweight, heavy-duty, extruded aluminum boards provide a wide, firm, and solid step, with integral formed ribs running the length of each board for added traction.

And these boards not only perform, they’re durable and will upgrade the appearance of any truck or SUV. Extruded aluminum is tough and will never rust, so you’ll get many years of reliable service, and they’re available in your choice of brite or black finish. The molded end caps are adjustable for a custom fit appearance. These brackets are constructed of heavy-duty U-Channel steel for strength and are custom designed for each application, so your running boards will fit and look perfectly. Some applications may require drilling to install.

This warranty does not apply to any product from Lund International's direct or indirect subsidiaries.

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the product is installed. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

Limited One-Year Warranty

For How Long: This warranty and any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last three years from the date of purchase. The warranty expires if the product is removed from the original vehicle or if the original vehicle is transferred to another owner. The warranty is not transferable from the original purchaser.

What Lund International Will Do: During the applicable warranty period listed above, Lund International will, at its option replace any defective product at no charge. You must pay any labor charges associated with removing or reinstalling the product. If a specific product has been discontinued, Lund International may, at its option, replace your product with a current product of comparable function and value.

What These Warranties Will Not Cover: These warranties do not cover any damage, defect, or malfunction caused by misuse, abuse, accident, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, or on-road and off-road hazards. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states or provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this exclusion or limitation may not apply to you.

How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province. Sturdy Running Boards

The running boards are very sturdy. They do what they're meant to do - add to the convenience and safety of those entering and exiting the vehicle. They're also very "attractive" on a black Durango. Before ordering the running boards, we read that they'd fit our particular model of Durango, but we should have measured the length of the area to be covered and compared it to the description's length of the running boards. We had the running boards professionally installed, and the installer mentioned to us that they weren't long enough to cover the entire area, so we had them centered below the doors. There's enough room to use them as a step, but they'd look better if they ran the length of the area between the wheels.

Great Running Boards, Bad Installation

For my Ram 1500, it could only install in two places (towards the back of the crew cab and the middle. For the front part, there weren't any holes there like the back two. Instead of installing it as it said it should, I just hooked up one screw to the front of the running board. I tried screwing a hole into the frame but there is another thing blocking it in the inside so it wouldn't work. So far it's been holding up but doesn't feel too steady. Lund should have used a different bar to hold it up.
