The Lincoln Corsair is intended to replace the aging MKC in the brand's lineup of entry-level crossovers. It broke cover at the 2019 New York Auto Show and became the fourth and last vehicle added to the automaker's portfolio of luxury utes lately. Although the Lincoln Corsair is a small SUV, it is big on style, tech, and comfort, so it has good chances to steal buyers who look at the Lexus NX, Acura RDX, or Cadillac XT4. The all-new sport ute is based on the latest Ford Escape, but the two vehicles do not look alike. The Corsair's styling is in line with Lincoln's recent SUVs. It looks like a downsized Aviator, with a similar stately bodywork and the familiar design of the nose. The exterior of the new crossover is undeniably handsome, but with the right Lincoln Corsair accessories and parts like custom rims and headlights, it can be made much bolder.
The cabin clearly follows cues from other crossovers that Lincoln introduced not long ago, with a modern feel and an abundance of leather, chrome, and wood trim creating a luxurious environment. A floating center stack of the dash adds an airy feel and brings controls closer to the driver while allowing for additional storage space underneath and behind it. The air vent takes the full width of the dashboard, with an 8-inch touchscreen positioned atop. The experts at Lincoln have gone the extra mile to make the interior a notably quiet place to be, so a variety of sound deadening features are standard, including active noise canceling and a twin-wall firewall. The rear seats recline and slide. Their seatbacks can be fully folded down, revealing 57.6 cubes of cargo space. With them up, there are 27.6 cubic feet available. Some of the tech features are wireless charging, 14-speaker audio, Wi-Fi, and a range of standard driver aids like blind spot monitor and collision warning with auto braking. Owners can use their smartphone to access and start their vehicle and control some of the infotainment and convenience functions. Lincolns are known for their artfully designed, comfortable interiors, but with a selection of Lincoln Corsair accessories offered on the market, you can have a higher-end experience and add some custom touches.
For its first 2020 model year, the Corsair offers a pair of gasoline-only turbo engine options. The base one is a 2.0-liter I4 putting out 250 hp and 275 pound-feet of torque. The second option, not shared with the Escape, is a 2.3-liter mill that delivers 280 horses and 310 lb.-ft. The latter is mated exclusively to all-wheel drive, while the smaller engine comes with FWD and can be had with AWD. In both cases, an eight-speed automatic is the sole choice. Should your engine, transmission, brakes, or any other assembly need maintenance or repair, you are sure to find quality Lincoln Corsair parts at a fraction of a dealer's cost right here.
