Lexus pulled the wraps off the first-generation NX in 2014. The all-new model was designed with a focus on the needs of city commuters. It had a compact size yet a surprisingly spacious interior chock full of the most desirable features along with a chiseled look that made it easily distinguished from others in the class. All that made the Lexus NX a really compelling subcompact luxury SUV. The vehicle has developed a following and with it comes a virtually limitless selection of Lexus NX accessories and parts from the aftermarket. The automaker has continually upgraded this SUV to retain its position in the segment. After seven years on the market, it underwent a major redesign for its second generation. Aside from getting a number of reworked exterior and interior parts and accessories, it also received new powertrains.

For its first year of production, the NX was available in two versions: the NX200t and NX300h, giving shoppers a choice between gasoline and hybrid powertrains. Both models were available with either front- or all-wheel drive. Later on, the FWD hybrid model was dropped from the line. The NX200t was motivated by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 235 horsepower. It could be upgraded with the F Sport package that included a sport-tuned suspension, uniquely designed badges, etc. Stepping up to the NX300h gave a combination of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and one or two electric motors depending on the drivetrain type. The total system output was rated at 194 horsepower.

There were no major changes to the NX over its first three model years. In 2018, the NX200t was renamed the NX300 and got a number of styling cues and a retuned suspension as did a hybrid version. While the first-gen SUV was developed around the concept of ‘Premium Urban Sports Gear’, the second-generation NX is designed around the concept of ‘Vital x Tech Gear’. It actually introduces a long list of the latest technologies from the brand. For starters, the 2022 model comes with an all-new multimedia system with either a 9.8- or 14.0-inch touchscreen. But the biggest news is certainly the addition of a 302-hp plug-in hybrid version to the NX line. For that matter, the NX450+ is the first ever PHEV from the automaker.

The NX350h replaces the NX300h and offers 239 horsepower from a 2.5-liter four-cylinder teamed with two electric motors. The previously available turbocharged model is replaced by the NX350 with a 274-hp turbocharged 2.4-liter engine under the hood. Finally, the base model is the NX250 that is motivated by a 203-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit. It is the only version that comes with front-wheel drive by default. It can also be had with all-wheel drive that is standard on other models in the NX lineup. The new SUV also got a revised exterior and interior styling which can be further customized by Lexus NX parts and accessories readily available on our digital shelves.
