    K&N® - 69 Series Typhoon® Air Intake System Installation Instruction

    The K&N 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intake Kit increases airflow to your engine, raises horsepower and enhances your engine's appearance. The airflow improvement starts with an oversized conical high-flow K&N air filter, installed in place of the restrictive factory airbox. The large increase in filter area over the stock airbox filter results in a huge increase in airflow and a greater capacity to capture and hold dirt.

    The increased airflow continues with a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube in place of the factory air path. The Cold Air intake positions the air filter outside the engine compartment, to draw in the coolest air possible. Cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power.

    The aluminum intake tube is available in various finishes to enhance your engine bay. All components are mounted and connected with high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon, to ensure long life. Every 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. The K&N filter can go up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is required. And the K&N air filter is guaranteed for one million miles.

    By far the best air filter you will ever own.. the sound my car make makes stops people in their tracks says it sounds like a Lamborghini Also the performance is by far something I wouldn't believe it is awesome I will never get anything different. I promise you that

    Nice Filter and Easy to Install
    The installation took around 3 hours with removeing the original filter. The only hiccup was to convince the heat shield to go in and had to slightly bed the ac lines out of the way. The rest was really a plug and play. After installation it felt that the engine is spinning easier and the sound of it has changed a bit as well towards the pleasant roar.

    Easy Install
    Very easy to install, and you can hear the suction of the intake. Can't say if it does add horsepower but I do have a CGS axle back exhaust that I am going to install and a tune to get a legit readout

    Installs Fairly Easy Aside From a Couple Problems, Works Well
    Note that this is not a *true* cold air intake as it's mostly just recycling the hot ambient air from around the engine. Will impact it's performance greatly, hence why my mpg is suffering quite a bit after install due to heatsoak. The wall does not sit flush with the hood interior. I'll be adding a hood scoop right above it to fix this, which is really the only way to fix it and make it perform how it should. Has greatly improved my idling and cruising stability and rpms run a tad bit lower. Sounds amazing. Really breathes deep. Helped my 0-60 go from 9.5 to 8.4 sec. Install was ok. The instructions were fine and detailed for the most part. Although it doesn't tell you what screws/washers etc to use where. And the perspective and no color just b/w on the photos made it look confusing. The crank case vent hose was practically *impossible* to use. Could not for the life of me stretch that hose over either connector. Just ended up trimming and reusing the old hose/clamps as it works fine. Overall I'm happy with it. Should work and sound great once I get the hood scoop on there.

    My K&N intake is runny excellent. I like the sound of whenever I step on the gas it sound incredibly aggressive and I also like how my car thanks to the intake I caught speed very fast.

    Sounds as Good as It Looks
    The only misstep was with the instructions listed a section for the return hose that did not match what I found under my hood. I was short a clamp and had to make them fit. Took an extra 10 min. But other than that all good.
