After many months of teasing, Kia has finally unveiled the Seltos, its all-new subcompact crossover comfortably slotted between the Sportage and Soul. The automaker gave the Kia Seltos a chunky yet attractive exterior with a number of accessories and parts that add a touch of style. The front end is rugged-looking thanks to a tall upright grille flanked by eye-catching thin full-LED headlights that stretch into the hood and certainly make this compact SUV stand out from others. The fog lights and tail lights also use light-emitting diodes. Both up front and in back, it received a handful of new Kia Seltos accessories and parts. Designed with a focus on young, tech-savvy drivers, the newcomer is not only good-looking on the outside but also well-equipped inside.
The interior has a driver-centered design with all Kia Seltos parts made from quality materials. Once inside the cabin, you’ll notice a great number of accessories designed to enhance your driving experience. Thanks to a long list of standard and optional features, the Kia Seltos is claimed to be one of the most high-tech vehicles available in its class. The driver can enjoy the benefits of a standard 10.25-inch touchscreen that has a split-screen function for the infotainment system. An 8-inch head-up display is offered as an option. To make a driving experience even more enjoyable, Kia offers its subcompact SUV with a Bose audio system with 8 speakers. The mood lighting system is also available. It matches the music and offers 8 lighting colors and 6 themes to choose from. On the safety front, the model got a number of driver assistance features.
On the mechanical side of things, the crossover comes available with three engine options: a naturally aspirated 2.0 L four-cylinder mill rated at 147 HP and 132 lb. ft. of twist; turbocharged 1.6 L four-cylinder unit that pushes out 201 HP and offers 195 lb. ft. of torque; and 1.6 L turbodiesel with a power output of 136 HP. The models bound for the USA are available with only gasoline units. The automaker offers two transmission options: a seven-speed DCT for the 1.6 T and a CVT for the naturally aspirated. The diesel unit is paired with a six-speed automatic. The all-new CUV from Kia also has a number of driving modes for different driving conditions. Thus its Drive Mode Select system offers Normal, Eco, and Sport modes to choose from.
