Kia Motors introduced the Sedona in 1998 and this model went on sale in 1999. The Kia Sedona is available in a 4-door minivan variant; originally, the model was equipped with a 2.5-liter V6 power plant producing 177 hp, 3.5-liter unit rated at 195 hp, and 2.9-liter turbodiesel engine. All models were fitted with a 4-/5-speed automatic or 4-speed manual gearbox. The Kia Sedona was launched to the North American market in 2005. In the United States, the Sedona was marketed in EX and LX trim levels, but in 2015 new trims L, SX, and Limited were introduced.
