The Kia Carnival is the new name for the Sedona minivan. It builds on its predecessor's combination of handsome SUV-like styling, great versatility, and a wide range of family-friendly features, while adding more power and a modern interior to the mix. The Carnival picks up where the aging minivan left off and is set to become an attractive alternative to segment stalwarts such as the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna. The calling card of the Carnival is its bold exterior that brings SUV design cues to the minivan class. The new model offers all manner of features that appeal to families, but when it comes to prepping your vehicle for a long road trip or even a weekend getaway with kids, pets, and tons of luggage, you can't do without aftermarket accessories. In our selection of Kia Carnival accessories and parts, you will find different types of roof racks, cargo organizers, seat covers, and more, as well as everything you need for regular vehicle maintenance and repairs.
The new minivan shares the N3 platform with the automaker's K5 and Sorento. Like with the Sedona, Kia sticks to the V6 engine architecture, but this time around, it is a bigger and more powerful 3.5-liter V6 that motivates every Carnival. It puts out segment-leading 290 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque, which is decent muscle for moving around people and cargo, and enables the Carnival to tow up to 3,500 pounds. Sadly, neither AWD nor hybrid powertrains are available at launch; all models come in front-drive form.
Like with any minivan, a well-built, roomy, and comfortable cabin is one of the key factors in making a purchase decision. The interior of the Carnival has plenty of niceties for every possible family need; further upgrades are easy and affordable thanks to a variety of Kia Carnival parts and accessories in the aftermarket. The minivan comes with seating for up to eight and can be had with second-row captain's chairs. The top-tier trim level offers a super-comfy power-reclining variant of captain's chairs that are heated, cooled, and feature wing-out headrests and built-in leg rests. In the standard second-row bench configuration, the center seat can be folded and used as a table. An 8.0-inch touchscreen system with smartphone integration is standard, but buyers can step up to a 12.3-inch dual setup, with one digital gauge screen and the other being home to the infotainment system.
