The Infiniti I30 got its start in the mid-nineties and was a midsize luxury sedan that helped stabilize the automaker once it established itself on the American shores. The I30 replaced the previous J30 in the lineup, and the model went head-to-head right away with other entry-level offerings from Mercedes, Saab, and Acura. While the I30 provided enough efficiency, performance, and comfort to make its mark, the model parts were given a redesign heading into the 2000 model year. It had previously operated behind a 3.0L V6 good for around 230 horsepower but when it was updated, a new 3.5L V6 was inserted, upping the horsepower to 255 and changing the name of the car to the Infiniti I35.

The I35 parts faced a lot of changes changes, including larger brakes, a stiffer suspension, stability control, and a host of optional accessories. The 3.5L V6 was mated to a now standard four-speed automatic transmission, which was a departure from the I30's manual gearbox offered since its debut. It was also a front-wheel drive vehicle. It holds the distinction of being one of the last Infiniti models to be designated as FWD. As for the model's overall dimensions, the Infiniti I35 measured in with a wheelbase of 108.3 inches, a width of 70.2 inches, a height of 57 inches, and an overall length of 193.7 inches.

Infiniti discontinued the I35 after the 2004 model year in order to make room for the M, which first premiered a year earlier in 2003. Although the Infiniti I35 parts and the model itself are no longer in production, the I35 is still a fixture on the roadways, as the car's high-quality build and quiet yet efficient performance have remained popular for both original owners and for those who have purchased pre-owned versions of the model. While the I35 was assembled, it received recognition from critics and drivers alike. In 2002, the Infiniti I35 was nominated to Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best List along with being named a Number One Car Line for Customer Satisfaction by J.D. Power & Associates. 2004 saw Edmunds.com's Buyer's Guide declare that the I35 boasted a "spacious cockpit, easy-to-use controls, and a strong reliability record."

Drivers who seek out Infiniti know what it is they're looking for. A stylish exterior, a fancy and comfortable interior, and of course, highly-capable performance. A prime example of this lies within the I35. Proudly backed by a 3.5 liter V6, the I35 delivers "smooth dynamite" without skimping on the classy refinement that made this badge notable.
