Kind of Works but Not like a Good One.
Four Seasons® 46088 - Thermal Fan Clutch
This fan clutch is like a no clutch fan bolted directly to the water pump when the engine is cold. The clutch should let the fan mostly freewheel until the engine gets up to normal operating temperature. This one has little to no slippage when it's cold. When first taking off the fan roars so loudly it drowns out the radio. After it has a chance to warm up the noise goes away but that takes about 10 minutes. Stop the engine for a few minutes and the noise is back again on restart. I'm in the market for a new one. I think I'll spring for an OEM dealership part this time.
