The all-electric SUV market is relatively new, but it grows at a rapid pace. Many automakers have already brought their all-new EV models into the evolving segment, but Ford took a different path to enter the contest. Its first purpose-built all-electric crossover is all-new from the ground up, but it bears a historic name. The Ford Mustang Mach-E blends the latest EV technologies with the styling cues and performance aura of the iconic pony car. Although a visual resemblance is quite strong, under the metal, it’s an entirely different vehicle based on the Global Electric Architecture. The Mach-E targets tech-savvy, progressive buyers who are looking for a modern, tech-laden, fun-to-drive hauler. It already comes in more trims and versions than the competition, and owners can easily customize it to their liking with the right Ford Mustang Mach-E accessories and parts readily available in the market.

At launch, the Mustang Mach-E comes with two battery choices that feed power either to the rear wheels via a single electric motor or to each corner via a dual-motor setup. The standard-range 75.7-kWh battery provides 230 miles of driving on a single charge with a rear-drive configuration or 210 miles with AWD. Going with the extended-range 98.8-kWh option provides up to 300 miles with RWD. The all-wheel drive setup limits the driving range to 270 miles. Those who prioritize performance can opt for the Mach-E GT model which can travel up to 235 miles but delivers 459 horses and is promised to do a 0-60 mph run in under 4 seconds. Less powerful models, named the Select, Premium, California Route 1, and First Edition put out between 255 and 332 horsepower. All of them can be fast-charged at a rate of 150 kW. With the standard mobile charger and a 240V supply, the SUV receives about 22 miles of range per hour.

Every Mach-E wears distinctive Mustang-inspired styling. The front fascia is low and wide, with a long hood and a scalloping pony emblem on a pseudo grille showing an evident kinship with the SUV’s venerable sibling. On the inside, however, the Mach-E is a far cry from the regular ‘Stang, with a simple layout and minimalist design clearly inspired by Tesla cars. The massive portrait-style touchscreen is there to allow the driver to control the SUV’s infotainment functions via a new Sync interface. There’s a physical dial at its bottom and a couple of buttons on the steering wheel. What’s notable about the cabin is the use of animal-free materials, with the seats optionally upholstered in high-quality faux suede or leather. Owners who want to personalize the interior can easily do that with a wide range of Ford Mustang Mach-E parts and accessories on offer.
