Ford's largest SUV, the Expedition has been a staple on the road since 1997. Originally slated to replace the Bronco, the Ford Expedition was placed just under the Excursion in terms of size. While the Expedition has endured several changes in recent years, it has always been a solidly performing SUV that stands up tall to the Chevy Suburban, which was one of Ford's main priorities. Ford has wanted to make the Expedition enticing to a wide variety of drivers instead of limiting the model to a strictly working-class demographic.
