Available from 1990 through 1997 with four-wheel drive, the Ford Aerostar was powered by a 4.0 L Cologne V6 with the output of 160 hp that was coupled with either a four-speed A4LD automatic gearbox or five-speed manual (this one was used only for the 1995 model). In 1996, the four-speed 4R44E and 4R55E transmissions replaced the A4LD.
