Universal FlowFX 409 SS Round Direct-Fit Gray Exhaust Muffler Kit with Active Valve by Flowmaster®. Muffler Inlet Diameter: 3". Muffler Outlet Diameter: 3". Muffler Sound: Aggressive / Loud. Muffler Configuration: Offset - Center. FlowFX Active Dual-mode muffler featuring Flowmaster new W.A.V.E. Technology™ (Wireless Active Valve Exhaust™). This direct-fit replacement muffler has split personalities with a nice performance tone over the stock exhaust system. The system also features a high quality wireless controlled actuator valve on the Power Chamber® redirecting exhaust through the turn down, giving you that deep open exhaust sound with just a push of a button. System features include mandrel-bent stainless steel construction leading into the Power Chamber, followed by a round FlowFX performance muffler that easily connects to the factory tailpipe. The Power Chamber houses a wireless controlled valve with a large turndown dump style tailpipe letting everyone know who the Boss is once activated.

Flowmaster® has its roots in solving the engine noise problems encountered by California racers in the 1980s. In 1983 Flowmaster’s founder, Ray Flugger, created his first patented design of racing silencers, which dampened noise with minimal loss of power. Ray attached handles to ease carrying the square shaped race mufflers through the race pits, and the mufflers became known as the "suitcase mufflers."
