Ferrari unveiled its Icona series of super-special vehicles by representing two cars, the Monza SP1 and SP2, inspired by the 750 Monza, 860 Monza, and 166 MM of the 1950s. These three sports cars helped to establish the automaker’s legend in racing. The current models of the Monza family feature the same roofless body style, also known as a barchetta, which means “a little boat” in Italian. All Ferrari Monza parts and accessories are perfectly united to create the car that fans of Ferraris from the 1950s will certainly like. The all-new Ferrari Monza has a roofless body and a low-cut windshield. To direct the wind away from its occupants’ faces, both Monza versions are fitted with a virtual windshield. It’s a panel located ahead of the dashboard. This panel is professionally designed to divert the airflow around the cabin ensuring driving comfort. Both open-top models look striking thanks to the modern complex aerodynamic aids.
The most obvious difference between the Monza SP1 and the SP2 is a number of seats. The Monza SP1 is a single-seater model, while the SP2 has the second seat for a passenger. Both models of the Icona limited-edition series have a minimalist interior. While the look may be old-school, the technology isn’t. Consisting of premium Ferrari Monza accessories and parts perfectly cooperating together, both sports cars deliver ultimate performance that meets the highest modern standards. Motivated by a 799 HP 6.5 L V12 engine derived from the 6.3 L unit found in the LaFerrari, the new Monza goes from zero to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds and offers a top speed of about 186 mph. All Ferrari Monza accessories and parts work in unison to ensure the driving experience that will definitely be exhilarating.
Both new Ferrari’s sports cars have the doors that open upwards and a one-piece carbon-fiber hood assembly. Thanks to ample use of carbon fiber, the SP1 has a dry weight of about 3,306 pounds. The Monza SP2 is 45 pounds heavier because of the second seat and some additional pieces of bodywork. The new Ferrari’s offerings are claimed to offer the best weight-to-power ratio compared to any other barchetta ever built. Finally, the automaker provides customers with a wide collection of race-inspired apparel and accessories including helmets, scarves, jerseys, and even driving shoes designed in collaboration with Loro Piana and Berluti. All products are made of premium quality materials for lasting service and perfectly suit the Monza’s appearance and nature.
