The Ferrari F8 Tributo broke cover at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, intended to replace the 488GTB. The new mid-rear engined supercar is the highest-powered series-production vehicle by the Maranello-based automaker. Its heart and soul is a 3.9-liter turbo V8 which shoots the car to 62 mph in a quick 2.9 seconds and allows it to achieve 211 mph top speed. The engine churns out 710 hp and 568 lb.-ft. of torque, which is the same output that the special-edition 488 Pista can develop but 49 horsepower and 7 lb.-ft. less than the outgoing 488GTB. While packing more punch than its predecessor, the F8 Tributo is also more aerodynamic and has more classic styling cues. Its design represents the epitome of the brand's 2-seat berlinetta body style, and owning this car means belonging to the club of privileged few. A wide variety of Ferrari F8 Tributo accessories and parts are available to make this car one of a kind.
Although the brand's new stallion does not look strikingly different from the outgoing model at first glance, many of the Ferrari F8 Tributo parts of the body have been given a major revision. It is shaped according to the new direction in design language developed by the Ferrari Styling Center. The aerodynamic air intake is a step up from the S-Duct solution which increases the downforce by 15%. Overall, thanks to extensive mods, the F8 Tributo benefits from 10% more efficient aerodynamics and a roughly 90-pound reduction in weight compared to the 488. The horizontal LED lights are made more compact to free up space for brake cooling intakes. At the rear, there is an enlarged spoiler that curves over the twin tail lights, making the car appear lower. A transparent Lexan screen shows the engine bay in the F40-like fashion. The louvers aid in engine cooling by routing hot air out without compromising the functionality of the rear spoiler.
The cockpit retains a familiar look of berlinettas with a mid-rear mounted motor, but a host of Ferrari F8 Tributo accessories and parts have been redesigned for greater comfort. The steering wheel is smaller in size to enhance a feeling of agility. The dash, door panels, and tunnel have all been given a fresh design. There is the new-gen interface for the pilot and an 8.5-inch touchscreen for the passenger. Software updates include the newest SSAC (Side Slip Angle Control) and the revised FDE (Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer). While the former helps control stability and traction, the latter, now available in the Race mode, makes it easier to perform drifts.
