The exhaust routing was also improved, so the newcomer not only weighs less but also sounds better than the model it replaces.

Ferrari’s latest mid-engine convertible shares the powertrain and many mechanical features with the regular F8 model. Under the hood, it hides a 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 capable of pushing out mighty 710 horsepower. It is rear-wheel drive and has a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as the only option to date. With its 0-124 mph acceleration time of 8.2 seconds, the drop-top model is slower than the coupe version. However, it has the same 211 mph top speed. It also received a bunch of the automaker’s latest performance tech developed to maximize driving performance. They include the side slip control that allows for controlled drifting and electronic limited-slip differential that improves handling.
