No type of repair empties your wallet quite like an extensive engine repair or replacement. Neglected maintenance, overheating, and hydrolocking are among the main causes of major engine damage. Low or dirty oil, low coolant, or a timing belt that has gone far beyond the recommended time can all lead to catastrophic consequences. The best way to keep your engine in proper condition for as long as possible is to perform routine maintenance. And if it needs repairing or you’re looking to boost its power, it makes sense to use only high-quality components. We offer everything you need to keep your engine in top shape, prolong its lifespan, and increase its output, all at a reasonable price!

Clean Oil is Cheap Insurance
The first thing to do to protect your engine is to change the oil and filter at the intervals stated in the owner’s manual. Pressurized by the oil pump, this vital fluid lubricates and cools moving parts while inhibiting corrosion and preventing varnish and sludge buildup. Over time, motor oil breaks down and becomes contaminated. It is no longer able to protect the moving parts and needs to be replaced to prevent engine failure. Every time you perform an oil change, install a new filter that will effectively catch contaminants without impeding oil flow. Check out our online store for the best components for essential maintenance services.

Check Your Belts and Pulleys
Along with regular oil changes, there are other routine service procedures that can’t be overlooked. Given how crucial a timing belt is to engine performance and how severe engine damage can be if it breaks, replacing it after a certain mileage is a must-do. This component synchronizes the rotation of the crankshaft and the camshaft (or camshafts) so that valves can open and close at precisely the right time, with fuel and air entering the cylinders exactly when needed. Timing chains performed this duty in older cars; this means of synchronization was "common on mass-production cars until the 1970s and 1980s."
When a timing belt breaks, the engine will stop working, and depending on the engine design, the valves and pistons can collide in the cylinder head, causing catastrophic damage. We have durable belts for your make and model, along with tensioners and idler pulleys that need to be replaced together with the belt. These components are sold individually or in kits, bringing all you need together in one set. For some applications, the kits may also include a water pump. We offer belts for all types of accessory drive systems, including modern self-tensioning serpentine belts.
Harmonic balancers are a specific type of pulley that reduces stress on the crankshaft by minimizing vibration and torsional distortion. A typical harmonic balancer features an energy-dissipating ring made of rubber. This element degrades over time and may eventually fail completely, possibly ruining nearby components and leading to crankshaft damage. A bad harmonic balancer shouldn't be ignored, and we offer high-quality replacements that will restore smooth and dependable engine performance.

Keep Things Sealed
Seals and gaskets are vital components that keep fluids where they need to be. Gaskets in an engine do their job in grueling conditions, such as heat radiated by the cylinder block, high pressure, and compression and expansion cycles. When seals fail, the consequences can range from mild to severe. Oil stains on a driveway are a concerning situation typically caused by a faulty valve cover gasket, a worn-out oil pan gasket, or a loose oil pan drain plug.
Blown head gaskets can spell a disaster for vehicles, causing a coolant leak or coolant mixing with the oil and resulting in what is called a "milkshake" coating on the oil filler cap or dipstick. Smoke coming from the exhaust is another telltale sign that a cylinder head gasket has deteriorated. We have a full selection of quality gaskets and seals to ensure that fluids are kept where they belong.
Because a head gasket is most often replaced when it is already leaking, you may also need to change the coolant, oil, and oil filter at the same time. A lot of parts will require disconnecting in the process, so it’s a good idea to inspect them for signs of wear or damage while you are at it. Other seals and gaskets that have been removed also need to be replaced, including an intake and exhaust manifold gasket set and valve cover gaskets. If the cylinder head uses torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts, they must be replaced as they are not designed to be reused.
What Comes in an Engine Rebuild Kit?
Small kits only include the minimum components such as a range of gaskets and seals. Comprehensive kits come with a complete set of gaskets, a piston set, piston rings, bearings, a timing set, an oil pump, valvetrain components, freeze plugs, and more. The specific contents of a rebuild kit vary depending on the manufacturer, engine type, and the intended use of the vehicle.
Add Power and Performance
If the sound of a revving engine gives you goosebumps and the sensation of fast acceleration takes your breath away, it’s only natural that at some point you'll want to explore some power-adding options. While cramming the cylinders with additional oxygen-rich air courtesy of a cold air intake and improving the exhaust flow with a performance exhaust system can bring some results in terms of increasing HP and torque, a real power boost requires internal engine upgrades. That's where our huge selection of performance engine parts comes in, including but not limited to:
- High-lift camshafts that keep the intake valves open for a longer period to draw in more air and fuel;
- Strong crankshafts, connecting rods, pistons, piston rings – everything you need to build a high-strength rotating assembly that can withstand the tremendous stress in applications producing serious horsepower and torque;
- High-flow cylinder heads featuring larger, better-shaped ports and larger valves for increased airflow and optimized balance of flow volume and velocity;
- More efficient turbochargers than the factory forced induction setup, and complete turbo charger kits for naturally aspirated engines;
- Stiffer and more durable motor mounts than the stock ones for improved response from the power plant.
