Features

  • Angled slots on rotor surfaces allow superior expulsion of heat, water, brake dust, and friction gases
  • Round indents in the rotors surface further increase cooling without the risk of cracking that drill-through holes pose
  • Black GEOMET™ and NITROTHERM™ anti corrosive finish
  • Brake rotors are unidirectional to the left and right side of your vehicle to maximize effectiveness
  • 3GD vented centers feature a wider aperture for air to pass between both rotor sides for superior cooling
  • EBC recommends a 500-mile break in period with lighter braking application
  • Designed to provide an optimum combination of street and racetrack performance
  • Unique composition allows high braking friction when brakes are cold
  • Features a cold friction rating of 0.5
  • Backing plate and side edges of brake pad are yellow powder coated for resistance to corrosion
  • Pad surfaces have chamfered edges to reduce contact against rotor lip that forms over time and causes squealing
  • Center gap allows for proper heat expansion of brake pads
  • Built in noise-reducing shims
  • Provides equivalent performance to GG-rated brake pads
  • Patented Brake-In™ red pad surface coating provides better grip during the first 100 miles after new pads are installed

Installation

Benefits:

  • Dimpled holes and Slots reduce stopping distances in wet weather
  • Slots help to increase pad bite and improve air circulation
  • Dimples are resistant to cracking compared to drilled holes
  • Dimples reduce the stress on the pads and improve heat dissipation
  • Dimpled holes and Slots create an escape route for debris, dust, gases, and water
  • Slots clean and de-glaze pad surface for optimum pad coefficient of friction
  • Vented type of rotors offer much faster heat dissipation

EBC pioneered brake rotors with dimple-drilled round indents decades ago to provide a solution to cracking problems that sometimes plague perforated rotors operating under high stress and heat conditions. What makes the 3GD Series Dimpled and Slotted Sport Rotors superior is the presence of both these dimpled indents and straight vent slots. Combined, they provide the superior expulsion of heat, water, brake dust, and friction gas that is needed to keep rotors cool and functional during street performance driving in any weather. Additionally, 3GD rotors feature a wider vented aperture for air to pass between both rotor sides, so metal expands evenly during use and the chance of warpage is minimized. 3GD rotors are designed for use with EBC Greenstuff™ 4x4 brake pads, Greenstuff™ 2000 compact car pads, Yellowstuff™ heavy duty 4x4 brake pads, and Yellowstuff™ / Redstuff™ pads created for shorter high performance street or track runs and drifting. 3GD brake rotors are anodized to prevent corrosion, and rotors should be fully ready for use after the first 500-miles of moderate brake application.

EBC Yellowstuff™ 1793 compound is a true winner all round, it has high friction from cold, not requiring warm up for street use yet when loaded up and really hot the brakes just get better. Even up to truck weights these pads grip and do not heat fade. They also suitable and the most fastest brake pads for Trackday and Drift racing. EBC yellows are ECE Brake safety tested which means they must work perfectly from cold at least as good or better than stock pads. When Yellowstuff™ see some heat (which is not tested for in the ECE R 90 brake safety regulations) they really show their pedigree. On Japanese cars built with lower friction FF rated pads these deliver a full grade higher stopping and on German cars built with GG these are about the only aftermarket pads that will match or beat the pretty good German OE spec pads and that takes some doing.

High Performance Parts.
Guy above is an idiot. Doesn't even know what he bought. These are close to racing pads you can get being streetable. If you read any description or watch any review they clearly indicate the use and the trade-offs. Guy above describes exactly what the manufacturer mentions. Lots of dust, noisy until up to temperature which is very high and hot for Street use. But on the track and your brakes are up the temperature they perform exactly as they should which is excellent. Guess he didn't know what be bought. These do what they describe. EBC is a know performance part manufacturer and I would have gone for a less aggressive pad with this car. Green or redstuff for street use. Know your products before you post lousy one star reviews for EBC brakes which everyone knows are fantastic. I only wish I could afford them more often.

18 Months Later
Over the 18 months the brakes became rough and very noisy. They were also VERY dusty. They are now completely shot. I'm not sure of the mileage when I installed them, but I'm sure that I have less than 25.000 miles with mostly highway driving on these brakes. I no longer recommend them.

Very Noisy Brakes
Already hitting a thousand miles and I could only say these brakes will make your car sound like junk. Constant noise happening even when not braking and while you brake there's a horrible skidding noise happening. You will not be able to drive with your cars windows down because of all the noise happening outside the vehicle. I have a Chrysler 200 2015 under 80,000 miles and my car should not be sounding like this. Most likely I feel like they sent me something universal that does not fit my car model and they had the nerve to say it's wind noise while it's clearly the brake rotor and pads making the horrible noise and not to mention there's a lot of brake dust where my rim already looks black and it's alloy wheels!

Tremendous Improvement
I upgraded my stock brakes - what a tremendous improvement. No more fade or pulsating. Stops are now strong and sure.I am SO GLAD I spent the money. BTW, I did both front and rear.

EBC Brakes and Rotors
I put these same brakes and rotors on the front of my 2005 Acura MDX three years ago because the vehicle weighs almost 5000 lbs and I was having rotor warping problems. They work like a charm and stop WAY better than the stock pads and rotors. My back brakes wore out, so it was a no brainer to use these pads and rotors for the back as well.

Stage 5 Yellow Brake Pads
A must have for anyone that has experienced brake fade. I have yet to have them fail even when smoking hot. They will lose a little stopping power when hot. Yet they continue to work. Awesome for the small price you pay. Thank you for recommending them guys.

Really Nice Brakes
Great looking brakes, had them installed professionally. Break in time is good, great response, after 300 miles I assume they will only get better since best performance comes after 1000 miles. So far great investment.

Great Original Installation
The installation was perfectly easy. I love the way they are looking with the black rims I have installed along with the black rotor and yellow brake pad. It gave my car the flare I was looking for. Absolutely easy installation process.
