Product Details

Trailer Hitch by Draw-Tite®. A sturdy hitch from Draw-Tite is engineered and built from the ground up to fit your vehicle perfectly, and allows you to tow safely and easily.

Installation

Trailering puts a strain on your towing vehicle. And it can put a real strain on your nerves if you're not set up right. You need a properly-engineered hitch with the appropriate rating for the weight of your fully-laden trailer. And that hitch includes a receiver, a ball mount and a ball, and an electrical connection for the tail lights. If your trailer is big enough, add in a trailer brake controller and the wiring to it, and perhaps a weight-distributing hitch. All that gear needs to be installed and rigged by someone knowledgeable in trailering. Draw-Tite has a hitch receiver for your vehicle that will allow you to tow the maximum amount permitted by the vehicle manufacturer safely. They also have hitch balls and ball mounts for every class of towing, and a full catalog of other gear that will make your trailering as safe and as easy as possible.

Works as Intended
Easy install. Took me and a buddy about an hour and a half. I'd recommend having a driver with deep socket attachments handy. The fit was good all around except for one bolt that is installed with the bolt threaders took some jostling. Not a negative, we just had to play with it a bit to get it to drop into place. All in all, it has been a good trailer hitch for hauling bikes around.

Fit...Not Perfect but It Works
You have to cut the excesses on each side of the hitch, otherwise it rubs the muffler pipes. Then, the spare tire must be deflated to 50% so that it will fit back into place. This work must be done by a professional.

Easy Peazy Installation
No cutting or drilling. Hardest part was holding the hitch up (on my back) while trying to install the washers and nuts.

Almost Perfect
Installed on a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The second hole from the rear on the driver's side is slightly offset on the hitch. I believe this may be a manufacturing defect. I was still able to install the hitch, but the offset of the second hole meant I couldn't put in the third bolt (frontmost) because the hole in the hitch was now misaligned. I tried to angle it every way before fully tightening any bolts, but it would not align correctly. I was still able to install the two rearmost bolts on each side, creating a secure connection between the vehicle and the hitch.

Misleading Description
The hitch is good quality, and installs fairly easily, but there is no way to do it in 15 min. The installation instructions say 90 min for a professional shop. I am a mechanic, and it took me about 2.5 hrs ( I did have a 3-year-old helper). Just plan for the time. You will need a saw for cutting the bumper cover as well as sockets and wrenches.

Ease of Install and Perfect Fit
I just received and installed this hitch on my 2019 Acura RDX. I had read some installation guides that referred to lowering the muffler. I did not find that necessary and was able to tilt and guide the hitch around the rear of the two mufflers. I did need to pry the one muffler to the side by about 1/4" but the hitch slid right into place. Very important to use a torque wrench since the specified torque requires a pretty hefty force and I would never have thought to tighten it so much if I had used a standard non-torque socket wrench. The hitch looks good and sturdy. I'll be testing it later when my bike rack arrives. CARiD had best price and very fast shipping. Very happy with the company and the product.

Draw Tite Hitch 76271
The product was OK. Installation was easy, good videos online. I was disappointed in the quality of the paint / finish work. There were spots on the hitch that the paint did not adhere, almost like the metal had not been cleaned properly before the finish was applied. Also, some of the welds had rust starting on them already.

Great Product
I needed a trailer hitch for my 2018 Ford Escape and I am very glad that I purchased this one. The instructions provided are very easy to use however I also used a video I found on YouTube. All you have to do is follow the instructions and it is easy (how easy depends how high up you can get the car). I used car ramps and slide underneath on a car creeper. My only issue was with my arthritic hands and I managed to drop some hardware inside the vehicle frame. No sweat, I contacted CARiD and the helpful person there shipped me the parts I lost. The hitch works great and I have already used it. Keep up the good work.
