The Magnum nameplate was occasionally used by Dodge throughout its history. The first Dodge Magnum available in 1978-1979 was a large rear-wheel drive coupe offered on the North American market in the XE and GT trim levels. It was the last vehicle of the Chrysler Corporation to utilize the long-running B platform. From 1979 to 1988, the name was used as the designation of Dodge’s coupe manufactured and marketed in Brazil and Mexico. The last time the Dodge Magnum became available was in 2004. It was a rebadged station wagon variation of the Chrysler 300C. As model's sales values were smaller than those of the Chrysler-badged sibling, the Magnum was phased out in 2008.
