DEC® - Catalytic Converter and Pipe Assembly

Part meet California standards, but I don't know if was mishandled by the transport carrier, when I trying to install it the left tip towards the header didn't fit by almost one inch, so it cost me a 100.00 at a muffler shop have them to correct the pipe and make fit.

Ordered this DEC product to replace the original catalytic converter on my 26 year old 1991 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. The front pipe on my old one had gotten rusted and was leaking badly near the hanger on both left and right side. After shopping around I found that CARiD had just the right deal for me both in term of price and availability. The competing Magflow direct-fit product is way more expensive for equivalent specs. If I have any qualms it all is that I would have preferred to have had the product come with the Air Injection tubes pre-fitted. (It took me all day to use a De-Walt grinder to cut the bongs on the old cats in order to recover the existing Air Injection tubes). Other than that, I m happy with my purchase. CARiD was very speedy in shipping my product and will get my return business at the next opportunity.

The product fit my 2003 VW Jetta 2.0 perfectly. It was pretty simple to self install. Rather than buy a converter and pay to weld it into the existing exhaust, this was already fitted and didn't require the cost of welding on top of a $300+ converter. Once installed, they'll have to call the Air Board to verify the cat matches the car and engine type, but that turned out fine. As long as no nuts/bolts are seized at the exhaust manifold outlet, you can replace this in about an hour by yourself.

Thieves stole my OEM Catalytic Converter. In desperate need for a replacement I was relieved to find this part. I was hesitant at first since this Catalytic Converter was priced under $200. The part I received was slightly different than what is pictured, CARiD customer service was quick to respond to my inquiry and guaranteed the part to be an exact fit. This part fit perfectly and installation took less than 2 hrs. Very Satisfied! Now my Element is back on the road with no exhaust issues.

The unit was reasonably priced and service was prompt and without hitch. The unit perfectly fit my 1998 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner, and I was able to bolt into place without problem. Torqued the exhaust bolts to 46 ft/lb. Thankfully the thief unbolted the unit from the truck rather than cut it out. A prior thief did that and the entire exhaust system after the crossover had to be replaced.
