Product Details

DISCOVERER TRUE NORTH Tires (166189004) by COOPER TIRES®. 245/70R17, Speed Index T - 118 mph, Max Load 2337 lbs, Tire Weight 35 lbs. Season: Winter / Snow. Type: Truck / SUV. Be ready for snow, sleet, ice, slush, or whatever else Mother Nature can throw your way with high quality snow tires we offer. Crafted from the toughest materials and made to the latest technologies, the parts are sure to provide enhanced ice and snow traction and last for a long time.

Driving your vehicle in cold temperature zones can negatively affect its overall performance. This is especially true for your tires. Cold weather may cause them to be dangerously underinflated. To avoid that, you should change your tires according to the season. Consequently, for the winter months, your car should have winter tires that will provide excellent traction on ice or snow. These have extra rows of sipes, which are small treads within larger tread sections that add extra grip in cold conditions. The rubber these tires are made of is thicker and contains a silica-based compound that maximizes contact with the road. To find the most reliable and durable winter tires for your vehicle, go with us and enjoy comfortable driving in the areas where winter is tough.

So far So Good
Well, I am attempting to find a great tire for the ol Suba. I just received two new ones and they mounted pretty well. I balanced the rim after burring it clean. Then I mounted the tire. (Nice snug fit). Balanced tire with rim and was pretty heavy on one side. But they run smooth even with the bubble balancer! Now to learn how the mileage will go. In addition, I am tough on air pressure. I like to run what is recommended 44 (Cold Max PSI). I will start these out at 42 PSI. I will watch for tire wear for the first week or two and then adjust as needed. Toe in was good and the frontend is tight.

Excellent Grip, Decent Price
Picked these up for my Silverado EV and they've been rock solid through the North Dakota winter. The grip is incredible, even on packed snow and ice. These tires plow through everything. The 265/70R18 size fits perfectly. Overall they do exactly what I need.
